I could only test his theory using LR and went from there directly to AI Denoise let it process and return back to LR and it did not crop the image. Apparently Topaz Studio 2 is a Plugin which is a causing the automatic crop when it finishes the process in AI Denoise or Sharpen, and returns back into Studio 2 In my case my usual workflow would be to go from PS into Topaz Studio 2 and access AI Denoise or Sharpen. This is actually related to the metadata description above in how data is passed from the Photoshop plugin, but in this case, you're using a workflow that the plugins weren't actually developed for." However, we dont' actually support it and odd behavior can result in this workflow. The plugins weren't built to accommodate that workflow, and that option used to be greyed out but it works for most people so it was enabled. The original intent was not to use plugins within Studio 2 as a plugin. This is probably the same issue as you were seeing in old posts. "The cropping from PS to Studio 2 to DeNoise is a result of the pluginception. He said you cant come from a plugin into AI Denoise or Sharpen, you have come from a non plugin like LR or PS I'm not sure if he is just a moderator of the group or actually works for Topaz. Does the image stay cropped when you apply the noise reduction and return to Photoshop?Ĭhatted yesterday with the moderator for Topaz community on FB. I know the view is cropped when viewing inside the Topaz application, but when I return to PS the image is not cropped.
